Austin Venneri started his company three years ago, at just 16 years old. AV Interiors provides on-site mobile car detailing for clients in the comforts of their driveway.
Looking to gain insights from experienced professionals and transform his company’s vision into reality, Venneri reached out to the York Small Business Enterprise Centre(YSBEC) for support. Soon after, he applied and was accepted to Summer Company, a program tailored to youth entrepreneurs.
Through the program, he received a grant and weekly sessions from an industry expert who provided him with personalized mentorship, “the program equipped me with an in-depth understanding of business operations and the financial support necessary to get started.”
His business continues to grow in sales and solidify its presence in York Region, “the company has experienced a 300% increase in its client base, leading to a total revenue of around $85,000,” Venneri said. He also transitioned into a managerial role, hiring and training a dedicated team of four.
In the future he plans to further expand his client base by exploring new services. He also plans on investing in the leadership skills of his employees, enabling them to take on more responsibilities and drive the business forward.
