A King-based agricultural operation is making a significant investment in green technology. Haven Greens is developing a 2 MW nameplate capacity ground-mounted solar facility that will generate renewable electricity for its greenhouse, helping offset a significant portion of its energy needs on-site. “Aligned with our commitment to sustainability, it’s an important step in producing more of our own energy to support the growth of operations while reducing our environmental footprint, generating in excess of 3,700,000 kWh, and offsetting over 16,000 tonnes of CO2 annually,” said Jay Willmot, Founder & CEO.
