The Ontario government is investing more than $18 million to support 11 companies through the Life Sciences Scale-Up Fund (LSSUF), a strategic initiative that helps Ontario’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the human health sciences sector commercialize market-ready products, scale operations, strengthen competitiveness and prepare for procurement opportunities.
The latest round of funding under the LSSUF program has been allocated to 11 recipient companies. Life Science Scale Up Fund recipients includes Piramal Healthcare (Canada) Ltd., who are receiving $1,753,620 to support a $5.3 million investment to expand pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity at their Aurora facility.
