Inside Aurora’s MegaLab on June 19, amid testing chambers, prototype technologies and entrepreneurs eager to show off their latest innovations, York Region formally launched its role as one of Ontario’s newest Regional Technology Development Sites (RTDS) under the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN).
The announcement brings nearly $15 million in combined public and private-sector investment to York Region, creating a hub where small and medium-sized companies can develop, test and commercialize next-generation automotive and smart mobility technologies.
