Alessia Trotta of Food Basics at 17725 Yonge St. and Don Lee of Metro in the 404 Town Centre at Davis Drive and Leslie Street, both in Newmarket, were each presented with a Foodland Ontario Silver Award of Merit by Newmarket-Aurora MPP Dawn Gallagher Murphy on June 21.
Meanwhile, she presented Marco Mancini of Longo’s at 18319 Yonge St. in East Gwillimbury with a Foodland Ontario Platinum All Seasons Award.
The grocers were recognized for building creative produce displays that drive sales of local Ontario produce and demonstrate an exceptional commitment to Ontario’s local food industry.
