Several people with hard hats standing behind last beam to be placed in construction of Markham campus

On Feb. 1, the building of York University’s new Markham campus marked an important phase with the final structural I-beam lifted and placed by a crane to complete the building’s frame.

The milestone was recognized with a ceremonial signing of the final beam attended by university leaders and local dignitaries. Markham campus is set to open in spring 2024.
